Most of my fishing is done in False Bay and in the tuna grounds off Cape Point. I regard yellowtail as my inshore "speciality" and this is probably the fish I target most with my charters. Most of the fish are caught on spoon or surface plugs and poppers. I rarely troll lures for them. We also get a fair number on fly. Other fish we target in the bay are geelbek and cob. I do not target any other bottomfish due to the pressure already exerted on the stocks.
As far as offshore goes, yellowfin is obviously the prime target and when they are around we run many trips out to the tuna grounds. We also get dorado and longfin tuna out there. I would be happy to submit monthly reports on these two areas.
