2 RECORDS IN 2 DAYS

Neptune and Eclare have moved to Ngomeni, to fish the same area that produced the record Yellowfin Tuna last season. The fish were in exactly the same place, just in larger numbers. On Monday 9th August Richard Moller and Ian Craig on Eclare caught an amazing 1,066 kilos of Yellowfin Tuna, this being the record for the most weight of fish caught in 1 day, with largest single fish of 78 kgs. Neptune caught the largest fish of the day of 84 kgs.

On Tuesday 10th August Eclare was fished by Joss de Kock, Keith van der Spuy with his 2 sons Greg and Jason.  Greg van der Spuy 16 years old, managed to break the existing All Tackle Record with a massive Yellowfin Tuna of 99.5 kgs. This was of 3 fish hooked together, one was lost early on in the fight and the third being lost after a 2 hour fight. A total weight of 800 kilos of fish caught for the day with larger fish been seen and lost. These fish stayed around till late September last season, lets hope they do the same this season!!

Snow Goose has been fishing the Watamu banks and have released 2 Bull Sharks in 4 days, as well as a good mixed bag of Tuna, Wahoo and Kingfish.
