Dear Fly Fishermen,
Once again a prospersous new year to everyone and may this year produce many great trophies and exhilirating moments pursuing them.

Fresh water news

The rivers in Rhodes were mostly either too high, too low or too dirty to fish during the December holidays.  The Bokspruit and Riflespruit were mostly consistent in the middle to upper reaches, producing plenty smallish rainbows and the odd good size yellow.  The Bell River, except for the upper reaches which benefited from escarpment rain, was low and fishing was tough.  The Kraai River and Sterkspruit were unfortunately discoloured throughout most of the December holidays.  Now that most of the holiday makers have left, the rivers, especially the Bell are getting a constant water supply from thunderstorms and rains.

Linecasters Fresh Water Academies

The dates for the Beginners Academy in March has changed to the following: 28th March to 1st April 2005.  The change was made so as not to interfere with the Wild Trout Bells Festival held here in Rhodes.

The Intermediate Academy in September, dates remain 12th to 16th September 2005.

The Advanced Academy in November remains from the 7th to 11th November 2005.
